LTX Platform

OVERVIEW

LTX /Connect

The Latinx community has been the backbone of the US economy and projected to be the largest driver of its growth over the coming decade. The US Latinx population has grown 70% since 2000 and drives 75% majority of US labor growth according to Pew Research & Nielsen data.
  • Yet Latinx are not at parity in the tech workforce, this lack of diversity extends up through the ranks of top executives, entrepreneurs who found companies, and venture capitalists who invest in startups.
  • Demographic data shows that Latinx are the LEAST represented group across the tech sector. According to the Leaky Tech Pipeline Research by Kapor Center in 2017, only 8% of the total US high-tech workforce are Latinx, 6% of the total Silicon Valley workforce are Latinx, only 3% of leadership positions in tech are held by Latinx professionals.

  • These numbers of lack of representation are mirrored in the entertainment sector. More specifically, in California, Latinx are 1% of the creators of Technology, yet we are 35% of the population. In Entertainment, we are also 1% of the producers, yet we are 50% of the consumers. We are absent from boards from leadership positions, and we are ready to be included and trusted. Enough is Enough. We are looking to unite with Latinx leaders across industries.

Furthermore, during this pandemic, our community members have been shown to be even more critical in our most-needed, most essential sectors.  For many of them working from home was an NOT option.  And many of them are still digitally disconnected. This is further impacted, given there is an increase in jobs that require digital skills, yet nearly 60% percent of Latinx workers in the United States have limited to no digital skills. But we will change this – Together.

Opportunity

Having explicit on-ramps into the technology sector is no longer a nice to have, it is a MUST HAVE necessity in these times across ALL zip codes, skill level, sectors. This is why LTX Fest 2021 planning has started and we’d love for you to join us in the expansion of LTX as an integrated platform. We are moving to the launch the following integrated segments and would love your collaboration:
